Sheryl "Cookie" Matthis Gaskins

am the oldest daughter of Mary Lowery Harvin, the granddaughter of Charlie (Coot) and Netti e JacksonLowery and the great-granddaughter of Rufus and Cecelia Lowery. My husband is Master Chief Eddie J.Gaskins (USN, Ret.). We are the parents of Ashley Gaskins Daniels (Isaac) and Amber Gaskins. We are thegrandparents of Iyanna, Kayla and Kaylee Daniels. I earned my BS at Morris College (Sumter, SC). I earnedmy masters degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
I reside in Chesapeake, Virginia and have had the pleasure of being a member of two previous familyreunion planning committ ees, Virginia 2010 and Virginia 2023. My role on the 2025 committee is to provide guidance and support as needed.
