Zinnamon 'Donnie' Lowery
I am the son of Annie Mae Lowery and the grandson of Ben & Mary Lizzy Jenkins Lowery. I have earned a BS fromMorris College. I have earned two master degrees from Webster University - a MA in Information TechnologyManagement and a MA in Human Resource Management.
I served over 22 years in three branches of the armed forces. I served in the US Army 1973-1978, US Navy Reserve1990-1993 and the US Air Force 1993-2006. On September 11, 2001, (9-11) I was in Saudi Arabia and had been therefor only two days. After serving in the Army, I served as a firefighter with the Sumter Fire Department (1978-1990). Istarted DJing in 1980 and subsequently started my radio career at The Big DM radio station. I switched over to otherradio stations during the early years of my career and I continue to DJ presently. I am known as the one and only'Magic Man.'
My mother, Annie Mae, started planning our family reunions around 1978. I have been carrying the reunion torch foras long as I can remember and the family refers to me as the "Chairman" of the reunion committee. I am the father of three adult children and grandfather of five. During my free time, I enjoy attending South Carolina State University football games.
